Registration opens for the FairCarboN 2025 Annual Conference

From 3 to 6 November 2025, the annual conference of the FairCarboN national research programme (PEPR) for the study of carbon in continental ecosystems will be held.

The aim of these days is to bring together the PEPR scientific community in a warm and welcoming venue to encourage collaboration between participants. The event will take place in Le Croisic at the Domaine de Port aux Rocs.

Accommodation and meals will be provided by the FairCarboN programme.

Rooms will be shared. You can indicate the name of the person with whom you would like to share your room on the registration form.

If you prefer individual accommodation, below is a list of hotels located near the event venue. Hotels 1km to 3km from Le Croisic: Les Venetes / L'Estacade / Le fin gourmet

Participation in the event is free this year. By registering, you are committing to attend: each participant requires a meal and accommodation reservation, and unannounced or last-minute absences will have a real logistical, ecological and human impact. We are therefore counting on your sense of responsibility!

Tuesday 4 November

  • Presentation by Martial Bernoux (FAO)
  • Presentation of projects on the themes of FairCarboN Axes 1 and 3: Carbon sources, transfer, transformation and storage along the land-coastal zone-atmosphere continuum / Development, production and use of plant biomass
  • Keynote: from a member of the SAB, FairCarboN Methane Group, then Scientific projects outside FairCarboN
  • Poster session
  • Evening debate

Wednesday 5 November

  • Morning session on the quantification of C stocks and flows at the territorial level: review, feedback and scientific perspectives:
  • 1 / Stakeholders' expectations regarding the monitoring of C stock changes
  • 2 / Presentation of scientific work / Projects in progress (illustration)
  • 3 / ROUND TABLE: What are the stakeholders' expectations?
  • Presentation of FairCarboN Axis 2 and 4 projects: Coupling biogeochemical cycles in a context of global change / Drivers and impacts of change and transition
  • Poster session
  • Evening workshops

Thursday 6 November

  • General presentation of FairCarboN activities
  • Conclusion of the conference and feedback from the SAB
